My 60 day Juice Fast

By: Mark P-R

My 60 day juice fast is something I decided to do after I watched the documentary “Fat, Sick, and Nearly Dead“. That movie really Got me Thinking about my long term health and lifestyle needs. It Got me Realizing I needed to do something more drastic than what I had been doing to try to lose the 120 pounds I need to lose. And, it Got me Hopeful that this “reboot” technique could (and would) work for me also.

But, now it’s time for me to be open and honest with the visitors to this website. Even though I am very obese and need to lose lots of weight – my main motivation in following my 60 day juice fast is to eliminate any cancer cells that may be lurking in my body – anxious to sicken and kill me. “I don’t want no stinkin’ cancer”.

I’ve lost several family members and friends to cancer. My grandfather and my dad both died from pancreatic cancer. My brother also died of cancer at age 62. And, my best childhood friend was taken way too soon – at age 56 – by pancreatic cancer as well. I’ve dedicated this website to him, and hope it may help inspire at least a few people to be aware that there are some things they can do to help provide their bodies with the nutrients and conditions necessary to fight off cancer before it can start. “I don’t want no stinkin’ cancer”. But, I also will be delighted to lose the inevitable weight I will lose during my 60 day juice fast.

Before I go any further I want to make it absolutely 100% clear that I am not recommending or encouraging anyone to follow in my footsteps or do what I am doing. I am just a regular guy who has done a significant amount of research into potential alternatives to effectively fight the “Big C”. What I have chosen to do for myself was based on my research and on what I felt would work best for me. Please read the disclaimer I have placed on every page on this website.

YEAR 2 Update: On April 1, 2013 I started a new 60 day juice fast (no this is not an April fool’s joke).

You can follow my results by using the navigation bar at the top (hover over the “Year 1 – Daily Log” and you will see the new “Year 2 – Daily Log” link. That will take you to that page. Or, you can Click Here.

I am following others good advice by talking with my doctor before – during – and after my 60 day juice fast. I am having my starting and ending blood work done to track my vitals. I have discussed with my doctor what I should do about my daily medications, and any possible interactions that may occur with a juice only diet. I will also be taking my blood pressure daily. It makes good sense to me to only do this 60 day juice fast with the knowledge and guidance of my doctor.

I also want to be upfront with the fact that for the last four years I have been using the health building machines from the HTE company – and I will continue to  use them daily in my desire to become most healthy. They are fabulous machines and I’m delighted to be using them. And, I continue to use their premium quality nutritional product called “Go Green” twice daily to supplement my natural nutrient intake during my 60 day juice fast. Juiced greens like spinach and kale are excellent – but it’s really hard to get much juice from greens with my centrifugal juicer – and it’s really messy to clean up. Taking “Go Green” twice daily is a super potent way to get lots of  Organic garden & leafy greens, Plant-based enzymes, and Antioxidants.

Personally, I feel this supplement is a cornerstone to my plan, and I will continue taking it twice daily even after my 60 day juice fast. So, if it seems like I am promoting the HTE products – I am… because I’ve got years of experience knowing they work.

My 60 day juice fast

This website has four areas for you to investigate.

  • My Daily Log tracks my story… my daily thoughts, experiences, and results. I know when I was doing my research into long term juice fasting I found it very helpful and inspiring to read about others daily challenges and successes.
  • Share Your Story is an area reserved for those visitors who would like to share their stories with others. It’s also a way to build a community of folks who have questions or compliments on others stories.
  • Discuss the Movie is a place where visitors can comment, question, or complain about the movie “Fat, Sick, and Nearly Dead”. I thought this was a good idea because so many people have watched this documentary and seem to have strong opinions about it.
  • The Resources section is a place to share information and links that visitors have found helpful during their research into juice fasting. I’ve shared several links to websites dealing with juicing and fighting cancer. I also share some cancer fighting juice recipes – and my daily plan of action. Please keep in mind that I do not specifically endorse or recommend any of the listed resources. They are there for your study and education. As with all things in life – “Buyer Beware”.

I hope you enjoy my 60 day juice fast website.
